Internet Censorship in Turkish: Warning to Twitter for “T A M A M”

The president of Turkey’s Information Technologies and Communication Council who are responsible for internet censure in the country sent a warning to Twitter for the anti-government hashtag.

For now they only gave a warning to Twitter, but who knows what will come next?

“Twitter is knowingly escaping (government oversight). They are allowing manipulation through bot accounts.”

The warn Twitter for the anti-government keyword “enough” (“T A M A M”).

The minister said that the government doesn’t want to block Twitter now. They just sent a warning to users to avoid this in social media.

“Our units will be on duty establishing security in the digital realm… in particular, our cybercrimes team will be following terror organisation propaganda or other sorts of provocation on social media.”
